Our Mission
Neuma - 'breath of life' - is a collective of birth doulas on the West Michigan Lakeshore providing encouragement, education, and empowerment to guide and support mothers through their birth journey. We also provide lactation counseling through a breastfeeding support group and in home visits.
About our Doulas
Lauren McFall
My name is Lauren McFall and I'm a birth doula located in Spring Lake, MI. I'm passionate about helping birthing people from all walks of life feel supported in their birth. I attend both hospital and home birth clients as they navigate pregnancy and brith. The birth support I provide is tailored to help each individual throughout their labor, whether that be through supporting words, massage, or knowledge on techniques to improve your birth. I am excited to be a pillar of support for my clients and looking forward to helping them feel empowered and satisfied with their birth experience.
I love to travel, try out local coffee shops, swim in Lake Michigan, and cozy up on the couch with my cat and watch movies.

Kaylee Freeman
My name is Kaylee freeman and I am a doula serving on the West Michigan Lakeshore and Grand Rapids area. I love what I do. I am passionate about serving mothers through their pregnancy and birth experience. I understand what a sacred, transformative, and (let's be real), hard process of bringing life into this world is. I have six beautiful children of my own and live with my husband in Spring Lake, MI. After the birth of my first son, I knew that I wanted to serve in the birth world. I have finished my lactation counseling coursework and look forward to helping more in the postpartum period. It is a privilege to support and serve mothers during their birth journey and get to know them on a personal level.

My name is Lisa and I am located in the Spring Lake area. Since childhood, I have been in love with and fascinated by babies and childbirth. After having three children and assisting some friends, I knew it had to be part of my life. After homeschooling my three I have re-entered the amazing world of childbirth. My goals are to help clients know their options, be educated and trust how their bodies were made to do this, and to feel excited, empowered, and satisfied about their birth experience. Being present, serving, comforting, and advocating for my clients during this sacred, challenging, and miraculous journey is a privilege.
