Birth doula, founder of Rooted Doula Services
"I have the honor of being a Doula and Parent Educator supporting families in West Michigan, and rooted in the Grand Rapids area. I am passionate about supporting families in their sacred journey of pregnancy, labor & birth and into the 4th trimester (postpartum). I have two babies of my own and both of their births were different and beautiful in their own ways. I want to support families so they know they are not alone. When it comes to preparing for labor and birth, education is empowerment; knowledge builds confidence which results in positive birth outcomes, and having support during the postpartum journey is an absolute gift. As a doula, this is the support I aim to provide.

"I’m a certified postpartum doula and breastfeeding specialist with years of experience both personally and professionally. Every mother deserves a doula, especially during the postpartum period. As a postpartum doula it is my pleasure to serve mothers as their caretaker; nourishing them in mind, body, and spirit by providing meals, doing light housework, being a listening supportive ear, and offering expertise and access to resources in the community. In addition to my role as a doula I am highly skilled in providing infant feeding support, and also knowing when an advanced specialist might be needed. I am CPR certified for adults and infants, and know how to identify the signs and symptoms of postpartum emergencies. Having a postpartum doula allows mothers, and the whole family unit, to focus on bonding, healing and being together. "My name is Tarajo Hanrahan (I go by TJ) and I am a breastfeeding medicine physician at Trinity health Norton shores. I have been practicing breastfeeding medicine since I had my children and realized the drastic lack of breastfeeding medicine in traditional medical training. I love to help families with their goals of breastfeeding, lactation, mixed feeding, induction or relactation and any human milk feeding. I can see people with a variety of concerns including nipple wounds, low milk supply, mastitis, returning to work, medication management, surgery planning while human milk feeding and any lactation concerns. I am happy to serve as a liaison to other medical providers involved in any of the family’s care. We accept almost all insurances and cost is that of what it would be to see your family doctor (this can be free or a small copay. If cost is a concern please still call as payment options are available)."

"Hi I’m Colleen Christophersen, a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and owner of Love Leads Doula and Lactation Services. I am passionate about advocating for a breastfeeding friendly community in all spaces and committed to supporting families through their lactation journey. Like many here, my professional career springs from my own personal experiences as a breastfeeding mama. My first born child spent 2 months in the NICU receiving my pumped breastmilk through a feeding tube and then a bottle. I longed to bond with her through feeding at the breast and sought every avenue possible to make that happen; which was no small feat. I was okay with continuing to pump and bottle feed, but my heart wanted to feed her from my body directly. Fortunately, I found support in various groups and from expert individuals that helped me make my dream a reality. I continued to breastfeed throughout my second pregnancy and tandem nursed after my second was born. My experience breastfeeding my second born was totally different than my first! Now I have the honor of paying it forward for other moms who need support and encouragement to follow their desired lactation path. I hope to bring my clients the unique and individualized support they need through the different stages of breastfeeding using my professional expertise and my varied personal experiences.

"Hey there! I’m Kelsey, a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist based in Holland, MI, and the Founder and Owner of The Supply Sis. Like a sister who has been there before, I’m here to support you wherever you are in your lactation journey — whatever your goals may be.
I have personal experience in both direct nursing and exclusively pumping, and I’m passionate about helping moms feel empowered, informed, and validated in their feeding choices. I have extensive experience supporting latch and milk transfer, and I love helping families move from frustration or uncertainty to confidence at the breast. Pumping is also an area I especially love supporting. Having navigated exclusive pumping, travel, separation, supply anxiety, and all the logistics that come with it, I understand both the emotional and technical sides of maintaining milk supply. I help moms build sustainable pumping plans, optimize output, ensure proper flange fit, and feel confident feeding their babies at home, at work, or on the go.
I offer personalized prenatal breastfeeding visits to help you feel prepared before baby arrives, as well as in-home postpartum support, weighted feeds, latch and transfer assessments, and pump strategy sessions. My approach is rooted in evidence-based care without fear or pressure — just practical tools, clear education, and steady encouragement.
My goal is simple: confident moms, well-fed babies, and support that actually makes sense."
